The film is directed by Iranian filmmaker Marjane Satrapi, who was nominated for an Academy Award for her 2007 animated feature \u201cPersepolis\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>British filmmaker Roger Michell\u2019s \u201cBlackbird\u201d, starring Kate Winslet, Sam Neill and Rainn Wilson in a drama of a terminally ill woman who tries to get her family back together, also will have its world premiere at a TIFF gala.<\/p>\n<p>Other British films to have world premieres at the festival will include Armando Iannucci\u2019s \u201cThe Personal History of David Copperfield\u201d starring Dev Patel, Ben Whishaw, Tilda Swinton and Hugh Laurie; Lisa Barros D\u2019Sa and Glenn Leyburn\u2019s \u201cOrdinary Love\u201d starring Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville; Michael Winterbottom\u2019s \u201cGreed\u201d starring Asa Butterfield and Isla Fisher; William Nicholson\u2019s \u201cHope Gap\u201d starring Annette Bening and Bill Nighy; Coky Giedroyc\u2019s \u201cHow to Build a Girl\u201d starring Emma Thompson and Beanie Feldstein (\u201cBooksmart\u201d) and Peter Cattaneo\u2019s \u201cMilitary Wives\u201d starring Sharon Hogan (\u201cWomen on the Verge\u201d) and Kristin Scott Thomas.<\/p>\n<p>Marielle Heller\u2019s \u201cA Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood\u201d starring Tom Hanks as legendary American children\u2019s television host Fred Rogers will have its world premiere at a gala. Matthew Rhys (\u201cThe Americans\u201d) co-stars as a journalist who interviews him while going through troubles with his own father, played by Chris Cooper (\u201cAdapatation\u201d).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Other titles with world premieres include Jill Culton\u2019s animated feature \u201cAbominable\u201d; Lorene Scafaria\u2019s \u201cHustlers\u201d starring Jennifer Lopez; Justin Kursel\u2019s \u201cTrue History of the Kelly Gang\u201d starring George MacKay, Russell Crowe and Charlie Hunnam; Destin Daniel Cretton\u2019s \u201cJust Mercy\u201d starring Brie Larson, Michael B.
